Man I can't believe it has been 2 months since my last Blog. Where did the time go. Speaking of time, where did this past year go. I can't believe we are on the heels of a new year already. One of my favorite things at the end of the year is to watch the evening news to catch what the networks think were the top stories of the year. The top ones for 2006 were the war in Iraq (obviously), the national senate and congress elections, President Ford dies, the war ravaged Darfur, North Korea tests nuclear warheads, Saddam was convicted and sentenced to death by hanging, Donald Rumsfeld resigns, Airline terrorist Plot in Britatin is squelched. These are just a few stories that have dominated the airwaves. Some stoires are those that have good news. Some of those are..more and more people are helping their communities by volunteering, lots of inspirational messages are being broadcast over the internet, there is more of an effort to care for our natural resources and our environment etc.
You see, it seems that with so much going on that tests our faith and our strength there are more and more people asking questions about what really matters in life. I think the tsunami (that occurred 2 years ago already), Hurricane Katrina, and 9/11 have really rocked us a bit. We are all beginning to ask ourselves what is my place here on this earth? Not only are we asking that question of ourselves we seem to be taking it more seriously and taking some action. Sure there is still a lot of horrible stuff that goes on but what little thincg have individuals done to make life better for others along the way. What have you done? What have others done for you? What have you done to make others happy? What have others done for you to make you happy? Now for my big question and I await your replies.....
Do you believe that happiness is found or made? Let me know your thoughts.
